Nancy accidentally stumbled into her passion for makeup while studying music at the College Conservatory of Cincinnati. Having become very involved in the theatre department, she became fascinated by the transforming power of cosmetics. She gained experience by working for major cosmetic companies, modeling agencies,fashion shows, and through doing freelance commercial shoots. The turning point was having the opportunity to study under celebrity makeup artist Laura Mercier, whose clients include Sarah Jessica Parker, Madonna,and Scarlett Johansen.. Nancy was inspired by Laura’s painterly technique and ability to achieve a flawless looking complexion while still looking natural.
Since launching brideface in 2005, Nancy Dawson has become one of the most highly sought after makeup artists in Cincinnati. Her loyal clients credit her with not only making them look amazing on the most photographed day of their life, but also for having a calming effect on what can be a stressful time.

She is a perfectionist when it comes to framing the architecture of the face with perfectly shaped brows, and is known for creating a “juicy” cheek and healthy, glowing skin.
